The base salary range for a Sr. Salesforce Administrator is $84,400.00 to $110,000. Actual salaries will vary by geographic location and are based on factors such as candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, competencies, and internal tenure & equity. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance and individual performance.
Sr. Salesforce Administrator – Overview
This position is responsible for ensuring the continued success of our Salesforce implementation and driving system optimization. Leads projects that have system-wide impact to enhance and deploy new functionality. Administers overall setup, configuration and maintenance of the application, which includes troubleshooting system issues and providing technical advice and support for users. Analyzes, designs, develops, and implements custom solutions based on planning and analysis of business system requirements, system changes and enhancements in consultation with internal departments. Creates training documents and maintains project files and updates.
Essential Duties
- Leads the ongoing governance and optimization of the Salesforce platform, ensuring automation workflows, process builder flows, and approval processes optimize business operations
- Configures and customizes Salesforce, including complex custom objects, fields, page layouts, and advanced features like Lightning components
- Responds to complex user inquiries and issues, working to resolve them efficiently
- Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Oversees data quality and maintenance practices, including data import/export processes, data cleansing, and deduplication
- Ensures data security and compliance with industry standards by managing user profiles, roles, and permissions effectively
- Develops and maintains advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions to provide in-depth insights into sales, marketing, and customer service performance
- Collaborates with IT and other departments to lead the integration of Salesforce with other business systems, ensuring data consistency and efficiency
- Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Stays updated on the latest Salesforce features and best practices to guide the organization in adopting new functionalities
- Provides guidance, training and support to Salesforce administrators
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Expertise in data management and manipulation within Salesforce
- Proficiency in complex Salesforce configuration, including custom objects, fields, and Lightning components
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to train staff using appropriate tools and techniques
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Advanced proficiency in creating custom reports and dashboards
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex business requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of third-party integration tools and services
- Attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and security
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to develop skills in multiple technical environments and grasp business processes
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field - related experience can substitute
- Salesforce Advanced Administrator or Salesforce Certified Administrator certification
- 5 years of related experience
- Or, equivalent military experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- LOMA courses
- Experience with process mapping/process documentation
- Proven analytical and problem solving experience
- Configuration experience with Enterprise applications
- Vast knowledge of insurance
- Programming or SQL Experience
