Position Summary:  

The Salesforce Developer position will be part of designing, building, deploying, and debugging Salesforce across all aspects of functionality. This position will be responsible for investigating needs, effectively collaborating with project team members to develop high quality Salesforce components and be a well-rounded resource contributing to the organization’s success. The candidate needs to be self-starter, able to make the right technical decisions with minimal supervision and be a strong collaborator across various organizational verticals.  

This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to the Director of Software Engineering.  

What you will do: 

1. Design, build, test, deploy and maintain robust solutions in Salesforce Lightning. 
2. Collaborate with colleagues in design and code reviews. 
3. Develop integration processes using Salesforce Web Services API, third-party integration tools and middleware. 
4. Provide integration solutions between corporate systems including SaaS, On Premise and Salesforce, using SOAP, Rest APls and middleware. 
5. Deliver support and solutions for break/fix issues. 
6. Research and development of new Salesforce.com prototypes and applications. 
7. Research and keep current on force.com technologies and communicate trends and future needs from a business perspective. 
8. Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of applications. 
9. Work on Configurations, Customization, Enhancements and Developments as per the business requirements 
10. Facilitate continuous improvement within the environment and provide functional knowledge of Salesforce.com data structure and understanding of how to leverage the tool to meet complex process and reporting requirements. 
11. Participate in the planning and analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements. 
12. Partner with business analysts and project management to understand requirements and provide scalable solutions in alignment with business technology strategy and architecture.

Qualifications:  

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or Business Administration or equivalent relevant experience. 
2. 4+ years of Salesforce Development; 7+ years of software development. 
3. Solid understanding of Salesforce interface designs for external interchange of data. 
4. Functional knowledge of Salesforce.com data structure and understanding of how to leverage the tool to meet complex process and reporting requirements. 
5. Solid understanding of and detailed experience with Salesforce.com architecture and API. 
6. Solid understanding of version control, branching, check in, and merge conflicts. Proficiency with Version control systems like GIT and Subversion. 
7. Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment best practices. 
8. Strong hands-on experience writing and troubleshooting Visualforce, Lightning Components, Apex classes and triggers. 
9. Strong understanding of Workflow, Process Builder and Flow. 
10. Understanding of HTML, XML, JavaScript, SQL, JSON, CSS, Java, and REST-based web services. 
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
12. Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
13. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment. 
14. Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.
15. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel
16. Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams) 

Physical Demands: 

Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

1. Sitting, standing, and walking (95-100%)
2. Keyboarding (40-60%)
3. Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone screen requiring close vision (95-100%)

Work Environment:

100% Remote: Work environment is at home.

Compensation:
