About the Job

The Red Hat Salesforce Partner Relationship Management (PRM) team is looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer. In this role, you will have systems responsibility for building customizations for Salesforce Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud. You should have the ability to understand the practical needs of the business and translate them into technical solutions focused on efficiency, scalability, and ease of use. As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you’ll work as part of a scrum team to complete configuration and development work, as well as define end-to-end process implementation strategies. This role has a high visibility within IT and our business stakeholder teams.

What You Will Do

1. Work with the sales, operations, legal, finance, and product teams and elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, cases, scenarios, data analysis, and task and workflow analysis
2. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests and wants from the underlying, true business needs
3. Be responsible for the configuration or development of system changes in Salesforce
4. Understand the data model related to Salesforce Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud
5. Ensure solutions are portable so they can be promoted to additional environments, including production, by an automated deployment pipeline
6. Meet team standards for solution design, code, configuration, testing, and quality
7. Participate in peer reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback
8. Work as part of a scrum team as well as on your own with minimal supervision
9. Work with other technical teams to build integrated solutions
10. Support and troubleshoot integration issues

What You Will Bring

1. 8+ years of Salesforce consulting or Salesforce implementation experience
2. 3+ years of experience with Salesforce Lightning and Apex
3. Experience building Lighting Components (Aura or LWC)
4. Experience building and customizing Digital Experience sites for external users (Salesforce Experience Cloud)
5. Working knowledge of at least one of the following Source Code Management (SCM) technologies or similar: GitHub, Bitbucket, git
6. Knowledge of the Salesforce security model (data sharing and visibility, object and field security, etc) as it pertains to both internal and external users
7. Bachelor’s degree
8. Knowledge of how to develop and deploy solutions
9. Ability to design solutions, break large solutions down into parts, and support the delivery of those solutions by other developers
10. Comfortable building and demonstrating prototypes in Salesforce
11. Ability to understand and troubleshoot implemented code
12. Ability to understand an implemented architecture and deliver on technical specifications
13. Ability to accurately scope, plan, and estimate the level of effort for tasks, with an appropriate balance of risk and effort
14. Good understanding of object-oriented technologies to develop software applications
15. Ability to work on your own and manage multiple-task assignments
16. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
17. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

The following are considered a plus:

1. Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Loyalty Management, Rebates Management
2. Experience with the deployment of Salesforce metadata using the Salesforce Command Line Interface (CLI)
3. Experience using Salesforce Scratch Orgs for Salesforce development
4. Experience with DevOps automation using one of the following or equivalent: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins
5. Experience with at least one commercial Salesforce DevOps tool: Copado, Flosum, Gearset, AutoRABIT, or equivalent
6. Knowledge of document generation functionality and eSignature
7. Advanced degree in the area of specialization

The salary range for this position is $127,890.00 - $211,180.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
