What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):


  1. The Salesforce Developer will build software applications by writing code in Java and Javascript and will also learn the technology and methodology for building applications within the Salesforce platform. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  2. Perform day-to-day administration of Salesforce development and test environments.
  3. Develop web applications following modern industry standards and best practices.
  4. Follow an object-oriented paradigm to maximize code reuse and flexibility.
  5. Leverage a cutting-edge technology platform to accelerate the pace of software development.
  6. Operate in an Agile software development environment while satisfying the government’s Waterfall-style project stage gates.
  7. Interact daily with system and business analysts to clarify requirements.
  8. Receive guidance from the lead architect on design and implementation tasks to complete.
  9. Receive feedback from lead architect on completed tasks, including items requiring correction or improvement.
  10. Collaborate among cross-functional technical teams to reconcile new business requirements with the integration of legacy systems.
  11. Contribute technical designs, including detailed data flows and data schemas. 


What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):


  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  2. 2-4 years of Salesforce Development or Administration experience.
  3. Platform Developer I.
  4. Exceptional communication skills in English – both written and oral – and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical IT stakeholders.
  5. Ability to work in a team environment under the direction of a technical lead.
  6. Developing Apex (classes and triggers), Custom Lightning Components, and Visualforce to implement Salesforce solutions in order to support business requirements.
  7. Application development, including basic Visualforce pages/Lightning pages, Lightning Web Components.
  8. Assisting with each release cycle to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code.
  9. Skilled in Salesforce CLI and SFDX and deploying Salesforce applications using package.xml deployment files.
  10. Working with integrated applications via web services and middle-tier applications, such as Mulesoft.
  11. Experience in setting up Salesforce Community Portal.
  12. Experience in setting up Single Sign-On integrations with Active Directories.
  13. Testing** (unit and systems) and debugging.
  14. Inspecting system logs to troubleshoot user problems, resulting in solutions.
  15. Striving towards coding best practices and data quality.
  16. Supporting the Salesforce Administrator in system maintenance.
  17. Extensive experience in maintaining and creating Salesforce Flows.
  18. Create technical documentation describing solutions.
  19. Familiarity with Agile Development Methodology, especially Scrum.
  20. Ability to obtain public trust clearance.


Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):


  1. Experience working in a federal government IT environment.
  2. •Knowledge of single sign-on (SSO) concepts using SAML and OAuth2.
  3. •Experience in setting up Salesforce Community Portal
  4. •Experience in setting up Single Sign-On integrations with Active Directories
  5. •Platform Developer II.
  6. •Salesforce Certified Administrator.
