Job Summary:

 

The Application Developer supports the organization’s existing software or systems infrastructure and develops new technologies as needed. Researches, designs and develops enterprise-wide systems and applications. Responsible for identifying and implementing innovative and efficient applications to ensure the best experience for the user. Evaluates current operations to determine areas that need enhancements or restoration.

 

This position is a key member of a product delivery team, interacting with Product Owners, Analysts, Developers, QA testers, Architects, Scrum Masters, Vendors, and more. Thus, supporting business applications by designing, implementing and modifying application programs from detailed specifications and ensures that improvements are successfully integrated into the existing systems. Develops program logic for new applications and analyzes logic in existing applications. Develops proof-of-concepts and user interface prototypes. Ensures compatibility of applications across multiple computing platforms and browsers.

 

Responsibilities


Essential Functions:

 

  1. Plans, designs and develops applications. Writes program specifications using various languages and platforms such as Web Application Development including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  2. Codes, tests and supports existing and new systems and applications using Agile techniques.
  3. Writes functional and design specifications for applications as identified by users and/or management.
  4. Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies and adopts suitable concepts for the organization.
  5. Create level of effort (LOE) and duration estimates for assigned work. Proactively manage activities to meet those expectations.
  6. Ensure unit testing of application development work is correctly completed.
  7. Streamlines existing applications and systems to ensure integration and ease of use.
  8. Provide development support for analysis and functional and load testing.
  9. Eliminates errors in computing environment for smooth operation and functionality.
  10. Designs and implements templates, databases and interfaces that fulfill user requirements.
  11. Communicates project status, issues and resolutions with appropriate stakeholders.
  12. Documents testing and system corrections in compliance with security standards.
  13. Communicate and work with graphic developers to create user interfaces.
  14. Problem diagnosis and resolution
  15. System maintenance and after-hours support, as needed.
  16. Monitors systems’ technical performance and identifies trends in operating output


Minimum Education and/or Experience: 

  1. B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. 5+ years designing and developing systems and/or applications in a diverse computing environment.
  3. 5+ years proficient development experience in Web Application Development including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  4. Experience with Salesforce Declarative development using Process Builder, Workflows, Flows, Lightning App Builder, etc.
  5. Experience with Salesforce platform programming – Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, APEX, SOQL, and SOSL.
  6. Experience working in an Agile environment and tools (TFS/VSTS or Version1)
  7. Proficient experience with major operating systems and programming techniques.
  8. Proficient with both front end and back-end development.
  9. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the principles, techniques, and methodologies of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), quality management, change, and problem management.
  10. Understanding of unit, functional, performance, and regression testing
  11. Working experience in team environment while communicating and presenting (both verbally and in writing) design concepts to internal/external customers
  12. Experience developing integration solutions using MuleSoft, REST APIs (Application Programming Interface), SOAP APIs, oAuth, Messaging, Single Sign-On, etc.

  1. Requires depth of expertise in own discipline to be able to guide others in the application of principles and concepts and to interpret complexities, nuances.
  2. Assignments at this level are typically more complex or unusual than those at the previous level.
  3. Proficiency developing front-end web applications utilizing JavaScript and Responsive Design frameworks.
  4. Ability to collaborate with User Experience (UX) Designers to implement intuitive web and mobile user interfaces.
  5. Ability to work independently to analyze and resolve issues.
  6. Incumbents assist with establishing protocols and processes for the discipline.
  7. Sufficient knowledge to guide the application of best practices within Information Services.
  8. Uses industry understanding to drive decision-making beyond best practices.
  9. Interprets internal/external business challenge, assesses current/industry practices and selects best practices to improve products, processes or services.
  10. May lead Information Services teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  11. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
  12. Anticipates and solves complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify solutions.
  13. Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by Information Services policies.
  14. Communicates difficult or sensitive concepts and works to build consensus.
  15. Understands issues related to scalability and reliability, including globalization.
  16. Understanding of IS methodologies such as SDLC, ITIL, PMLC and QA/Test
  17. Agile Developer certification preferred.

Salary Range

  1. The position is bonus eligible
  2. Salary: 108,200-162,400.
