Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Salesforce System Administrator at our Corporate office in Richmond, Virginia. This position will be responsible for overseeing the accuracy, consistency and governance of data within the Salesforce system.


Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the successful candidate, you will ensure that there is a single source of truth across the organization for all customer information, product detail and account data. In addition, you will initiate system improvements and train end users on updates. 


Your additional responsibilities as Salesforce System Administrator will include:


  1. Subject matter expert on data quality and data maintenance 
  2. Works with sales, senior leaders and internal audit to determine appropriate Salesforce governance 
  3. Implements data cleansing techniques; create and manage rules, and data validations
  4. Design and implement master data management techniques to reduce duplicate records
  5. Performs database de-duping and cleanup procedures 
  6. Takes ownership of configuration changes within Salesforce
  7. Proactively monitor and improve end-user experience
  8. Create and refine reports, dashboard and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity
  9. Provides new and ongoing user training
  10. Works closely with Salesforce System Analyst to ensure consistency between expectations 
  11. Provides and monitors user access, password resets and other routine user requirements 


Skills/ Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, System Engineering or another related field
  2. 5+ years of system administration and data quality experience
  3. 3+ years of prior experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM
  4. Salesforce Administration certification, preferred
  5. Ability to write and enforce standard operating procedures
  6. Ability to manage and analyze large amounts of data and information
  7. Technical understanding of data based performance and functionality
  8. Solid knowledge of sales teams, sales processes and required accounts and sales information
  9. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and stakeholder requirements
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
