SUMMARY:
Kestra is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join our growing Salesforce team supporting all Kestra Holdings channels. This role is ideal for someone early in their Salesforce development career who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-impact Salesforce transformation initiative.
In this position, you will work under the guidance of senior developers and architects to help build scalable, efficient solutions on the Salesforce platform. You’ll gain hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and integrations, while developing best practices in a collaborative, Agile environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
- Assist in developing high-quality, scalable, and reusable code and configurations in Salesforce features using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and related technologies.
- Perform data migrations using tools like Data Loader or third-party applications.
- Collaborate with senior developers and architects to design and implement solutions that align with business requirements.
- Support ongoing Salesforce projects, enhancements, and day-to-day platform maintenance.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and bug fixes under supervision.
- Perform basic data migration tasks using tools like Data Loader.
- Help create and maintain technical documentation, including user stories, test cases, and deployment notes.
- Learn and follow DevOps practices including version control (Git) and CI/CD processes.
- Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, new features, and best practices.
- Show initiative and curiosity to expand knowledge of Salesforce development and enterprise systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the following skills and abilities:
- Foundational understanding of Salesforce architecture and core development tools (e.g., Apex, SOQL, LWC, Flows, VisualForce, etc).
- Exposure to Salesforce development via internships, coursework, or previous roles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a growth mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively and take direction in a team environment.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, Git, or CI/CD tooling is a plus.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication.
- Passion for high-quality solutions and continuous improvement.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Self-motivated with a sense of ownership and accountability.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1-3 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in enterprise environments (including internships or personal projects).
- Experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies is a bonus.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Required: Salesforce Administrator (or commitment to earn within 3–6 months of joining).
- Preferred: Salesforce App Builder or Platform Developer I certifications.
