Project Canary is a climate technology company offering an enterprise data platform that helps energy companies improve and report on their emissions footprint. Project Canary builds high-fidelity sensors, ingests data from various other technologies and sources, and leverages proprietary analytics and models to deliver insights that operators can act on to reduce emissions. The data-driven technology enables energy operators to stop leaks faster, reduce risk, streamline reporting, and differentiate their operations for key stakeholders.
We are seeking a skilled and analytical Salesforce Developer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on scaling our salesforce capabilities relevant to revenue operations, go-to-market (GTM) strategy execution, asset management, field technician workflow management, and other operational activities to ensure the smooth performance of Project Canary’s operations team and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop custom workflows and automation using Flows, Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce may be required for complex automations
- Configure and customize Salesforce solutions including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, Field Service and other integrated platforms
- Design and implement Sales Cloud solutions to optimize lead management, opportunity tracking, and sales pipeline visibility
- Build and enhance Quote to Cash processes including quote generation, approval workflows, contract management, and revenue recognition
- Support GTM initiatives by developing dashboards, reports, and analytics to track sales performance, pipeline health, and revenue metrics
- Create and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs, middleware (Celigo), and ETL tools
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, and operations teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while communicating process and timelines to stakeholders
- Implement security controls and data management policies
- Provide technical leadership in solution design and best practices
- Support deployment processes and manage release cycles
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues
- Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 4+ years of Salesforce development experience
- Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I certification (Platform Developer II preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce
- Experience with Sales Cloud configuration including lead/ opportunity management and sales processes
- Understanding of Quote to Cash business processes
- Experience building reports and dashboards to support sales operations and GTM analytics
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience with Salesforce APIs and integration patterns
- Experience with specific Salesforce modules, including, but not limited to, Field Service, CPQ, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Version control experience (Git)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

- Additional Salesforce certifications (Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Business Analyst, JavaScript Developer 1)
- Understanding of FP&L and SCM
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of data migration tools and ETL processes
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Understanding of Salesforce governor limits and optimization techniques
- Experience with Salesforce DX and scratch org development
