Description

Project Canary is a climate technology company offering an enterprise data platform that helps energy companies improve and report on their emissions footprint. Project Canary builds high-fidelity sensors, ingests data from various other technologies and sources, and leverages proprietary analytics and models to deliver insights that operators can act on to reduce emissions. The data-driven technology enables energy operators to stop leaks faster, reduce risk, streamline reporting, and differentiate their operations for key stakeholders.


We are seeking a skilled and analytical Salesforce Developer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on scaling our salesforce capabilities relevant to revenue operations, go-to-market (GTM) strategy execution, asset management, field technician workflow management, and other operational activities to ensure the smooth performance of Project Canary’s operations team and drive sales growth.



Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop custom workflows and automation using Flows, Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce may be required for complex automations
  2. Configure and customize Salesforce solutions including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, Field Service and other integrated platforms
  3. Design and implement Sales Cloud solutions to optimize lead management, opportunity tracking, and sales pipeline visibility
  4. Build and enhance Quote to Cash processes including quote generation, approval workflows, contract management, and revenue recognition
  5. Support GTM initiatives by developing dashboards, reports, and analytics to track sales performance, pipeline health, and revenue metrics
  6. Create and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs, middleware (Celigo), and ETL tools
  7. Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, and operations teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
  8. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while communicating process and timelines to stakeholders
  9. Implement security controls and data management policies
  10. Provide technical leadership in solution design and best practices
  11. Support deployment processes and manage release cycles
  12. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues
  13. Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation



Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  1. 4+ years of Salesforce development experience
  2. Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I certification (Platform Developer II preferred)
  3. Strong proficiency in Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce
  4. Experience with Sales Cloud configuration including lead/ opportunity management and sales processes
  5. Understanding of Quote to Cash business processes
  6. Experience building reports and dashboards to support sales operations and GTM analytics
  7. Strong project management skills with ability to manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables
  8. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  9. Experience with Salesforce APIs and integration patterns
  10. Experience with specific Salesforce modules, including, but not limited to, Field Service, CPQ, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud
  11. Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  12. Version control experience (Git)
  13. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Nice to have:

  1. Additional Salesforce certifications (Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Business Analyst, JavaScript Developer 1)
  2. Understanding of FP&L and SCM
  3. Experience with Agile development methodologies
  4. Knowledge of data migration tools and ETL processes
  5. Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
  6. Understanding of Salesforce governor limits and optimization techniques
  7. Experience with Salesforce DX and scratch org development

  1. Salary range: $115,000 - $135,000 annual base
