POSITION SPECIFICS​

Penn State University is seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer. This is a critical role within the Enterprise Constituent Relationship Management (ECRM) program team who is implementing Salesforce solutions to meet the business needs and strategic goals of our institution.

Penn State is building an Enterprise Constituent Relationship Management program using the Salesforce.com platform. ECRM will help to manage our relationships and constituent information, so we can continue to grow as a University alongside all of the members of the Penn State community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, install, implement, maintain, and support the Salesforce platform and associated integrations and/or applications
2. Customize Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Education Cloud, and other platform features to meet the business needs
3. Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues promptly
4. Ensure data quality and integrity across all integration processes
5. Document and maintain code, processes, test plans, detailed workflow charts, and diagrams that describe input, output and logical operation
6. Convey complex technical concepts, issues, and considerations to people with differing levels of technical knowledge
7. Manage releases, updates, and new features in the Salesforce platform
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in data integration and Salesforce development
9. Analyze business requirements and use cases; work with stakeholders to clarify their requirements; and translate into solutions
10. Ensure compliance with Penn State standards, requirements, and policies including usability, accessibility, and security
11. Provide maintenance, support and consultation for third party software solutions
12. Monitor work and projects ensuring timeliness, quality, and efficiency; and provide regular progress updates
13. Anticipate client and project needs and present development option(s)
14. Assists other staff in projects and provides training and support as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Expert knowledge of Salesforce products and the data model, architecture and security
2. Experience developing Salesforce integrations using Informatica Cloud
3. Strong Salesforce development skills using Apex, SOQL, LWC
4. Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies 
5. Experience integrating Salesforce with third party systems using REST/SOAP APIs
6. Experience working and developing in an Agile environment
7. Ability to adapt and work effectively in an environment of change
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Salesforce Developer certification preferred
2. Higher education experience preferred

LOCATION

The location of this position is flexible and can operate fully remote within the United States, fully in-person at our University Park Campus, or in a hybrid model of both in-person and remote. Standard working hours are in the eastern time zone.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $76,700.00 - $115,100.00.
