Summary:

The Salesforce Development Engineer will be a senior technical leader responsible for driving advanced Salesforce solutions' design, development, and implementation. This role will provide technical expertise, architectural guidance, and mentorship to a team of Salesforce developers. You will collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and scalable Salesforce solutions aligning with business objectives. With extensive knowledge of Salesforce development, industry best practices, and emerging trends, this role will be crucial in shaping the technical direction and success of Salesforce initiatives.


This position will report to the Manager of Engineering within the Internal Applications department.


Responsibilities

  1. Collaborates with management, architects, product owners, stakeholders, software developers, and quality analysts to bring projects into Production
  2. Will assist in creating and maintaining application roadmaps that maintain the integrity and performance of our systems and satisfy the business need for fast value delivery
  3. Identify and address performance bottlenecks within the Salesforce system, optimizing code, configuration, and integration components for improved system performance and scalability. Conducted performance testing, analyzed system metrics, and implemented optimizations as needed.
  4. Establish and enforce platform governance policies, ensuring compliance with security standards, data privacy regulations, and best practices.
  5. Influence and present strategic options to ensure needed outcomes and solutions are designed.
  6. Create and Maintain Technical documentation
  7. Lead, coach, and train other developers to create a positive work culture 
  8. Lead the establishment of best practices

Requirements

  1. 7+ Years of experience in a Software Developer role or similar role
  2. Understanding of design principles, threading, real-time processing, and SQL Server DB queries and performance tuning
  3. Demonstrated experience in coaching, building developer teams, and ensuring standards are aligned with best practices. 
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  5. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  6. Experience developing in a cloud environment (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  7. Microservices/restful API
  8. Database experience (SQL, NoSQL)


Preferred Experience/Education

  1. Salesforce Development Certifications 
  2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  3. Experience in the payment industry
  4. Experience with managing a large code base that is a mixture of legacy code and modern technology, Working with remote teams (onshore, nearshore, offshore)
  5. Continuous Integration (DevOps mindset)
  6. Knowledge of complex integration with Salesforce.
