We didn’t set out to start a fan company. We set out to solve a problem—workplace discomfort. (Sorry, HR, not your kind.) Seeing how overhead fans cooled California dairy cows begged a massive question for our founder. “Can a fan be made to revolutionize comfort for people?” he uttered.

We kept getting calls asking, “Are you the guys who make those big ass fans?” Hell yeah, we are. And Big Ass Fans was born, complete with our own cheeky donkey mascot, Fanny. Join our dynamic IT team and take the lead in building the next generation of Salesforce solutions powered by Agentforce and Einstein. You'll shape intelligent automation, smart integrations, and seamless user experiences that elevate how our entire business operates. 

As a Big Ass Fans Salesforce Developer, you'll architect, develop, and optimize cutting-edge workflows, automations, and integrations, that empower both internal users and partner communities. If you bring experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, even better! You'll have an opportunity to make an immediate impact.

What You'll Do

1. Lead the design, development, and deployment of Salesforce solutions, focusing on Agentforce and Einstein features for AI-driven automation and insights.
2. Build, optimize, and maintain integration between Salesforce and other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, web platforms, Mulesoft, APIs).
3. Develop and manage complex workflows, process automations, and approval processes using Salesforce Flow, Process Builder, and Apex.
4. Implement and support Partner Communities, ensuring secure and scalable external user experiences.
5. Collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and external partners to gather requirements and deliver robust solutions.
6. Support and extend Salesforce Marketing Cloud integrations and campaigns.
7. Ensure best practices for security, data integrity, and compliance.
8. Stay current with Salesforce releases, new features, and industry trends, especially in AI and automation.
9. Provide technical support, documentation, and training to end users.

What You'll Bring

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2. 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, Lightning, Flows, Process Builder)
3. Salesforce Certified Platform Developer is required. 
4. Salesforce Agentforce Specialist is preferred
5. Demonstrated experience with Agentforce (Salesforce AI/automation) and Einstein (AI/analytics) features
6. Strong background in building and maintaining integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, Mulesoft, external systems)
7. Experience with Salesforce Partner Communities/ Experience Cloud and Marketing Cloud is highly desirable
8. Proven ability to design and implement complex workflows and automations
9. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
10. Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer, Integration Architect, Marketing Cloud, etc.) are a plus

First 90 Days

Every Big Ass Fans employee is essential in working towards the company’s growth goals, and no goal is successful without a plan. When you kickstart your BAF journey with a strong 90-day plan, you’ll be set up for a great first day, week, month, quarter and beyond! Here’s a snapshot of the first 90 days as a BAF Salesforce Developer:

Days 1-30:

1. Complete your onboarding activities, including an onsite 4-day FANdamentals training
2. Onboard with IT and business teams
3. Review current Salesforce architecture, integrations, and automation landscape
4. Meet stakeholders to understand business goals and technical requirements
5. Assess current AI, Einstein, and Salesforce development and identify immediate risks or gaps

Days 31-60:

1. Lead immediate advancements in Agentforce and Einstein feature deployments
2. Begin optimizing key workflows and integrations
3. Establish coding standards and documentation practices
4. Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and adjust plans as needed

Days 61-90+:

1. Accelerate automation and integration projects 
2. Deliver new features for partner communities
3. Lead user training and support 
4. Identify ongoing improvement opportunities

The Interview Process:

1. Our First Chat: You’ll be speaking with a BAF Recruiter! Here, you’ll discuss the opportunity more in-depth, and talk through any questions you have about the company.
2. Virtual Interview: This will be a virtual video interview with the VP of IT. In this meeting, you’ll go through all of the in-depth details of the position, going over the day-to-day operations, and learn about the role’s expectations.
3. On-site Interview: You'll be invited to our US Headquarters to meet with the VP of IT, and a few other leaders to cover any unanswered questions.
