Position Summary

Sound Income Strategies is seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Developer to play a key role in enhancing and evolving our Salesforce platform as our business continues to grow. In this high-visibility role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders to design and deliver scalable solutions that improve efficiency, streamline processes, and create a better user experience across the organization. Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand complex business requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
2. Design, develop, and maintain custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, Visualforce, and related technologies.
3. Build and maintain business logic using Apex triggers, classes, controllers, and asynchronous processing such as Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, and Future methods.
4. Develop modern, user-friendly Lightning Web Components using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Apex.
5. Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and other integration patterns.
6. Customize and maintain the Salesforce data model, including custom objects, fields, relationships, and record types.
7. Configure automation using Flows, validation rules, approval processes, and other Salesforce tools.
8. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing to ensure quality, reliability, and maintainability.
9. Optimize Salesforce performance by analyzing SOQL queries, Apex code, and data model design.
10. Partner with Salesforce administrators to support security settings, profiles, permission sets, and role hierarchy.
11. Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
12. Stay current on Salesforce releases, features, and platform enhancements and proactively apply improvements where appropriate.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

Background and Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of development experience with Salesforce technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, and Salesforce APIs.
3. Experience working in Agile development environments.
4. Experience with Git, Gearset, and CI/CD pipelines.
5. Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship.

Preferred Skills:

1. Salesforce Administrator and/or Salesforce Developer certifications.
2. Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and development best practices.
3. Experience with traditional front-end, back-end, or database technologies.
4. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

Nice to Have: 

1. Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
2. Exposure to scalable enterprise integrations and platform optimization.
3. A proactive mindset with interest in continuous improvement and innovation.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

1. Ability to work for extended periods at a desk using a computer.
2. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds if/when necessary.
3. Routine use of telephone and email.
4. Office-based role with potential travel to conferences, events, and satellite offices as needed.
