Salesforce Developer

Day-to-Day Role:

1. Assist in the discovery, understanding and capture of business requirements by working with all stakeholders.
2. Analyze requirements and participate in the design of software solutions.
3. Create solutions with software development skills using at least one development language.
4. Assist with the implementation of custom, software as a service (SAAS), and commercial off the shelf (COTS) software by enabling integration with existing solutions, or by configuring or customizing the software as needed to meet business requirements.
5. Design and specify test procedures including unit, system, performance, and integration testing.
6. Generate test data, conduct tests, debug programs, and ensure results are accurate and meet specifications.
7. Participate fully in both waterfall and Agile development methodologies as required by each assigned project.
8. Participate in the planning and execution of development activities during the cutover and go-live phase of projects.
9. Provide training, written instruction, and daily support to customers, technical staff, support staff, and management.
10. Provide support for existing solutions by fixing or enhancing software, troubleshooting interfaces, or reviewing business process integration with software solutions.
11. Enhance existing programs and systems to correct errors and provide new functions.
12. Conduct discussions regarding technology strategies and establish processes that uphold department standards.
13. Follow IT policies and standards and adopt standard processes and other development best practices.
14. Ensure confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information and follow to company security policies.
15. Maintain technical expertise by staying aware of industry trends, best practices and new tools and techniques.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and three (3) years of experience as a Salesforce Developer or a related occupation
2. One (1) year of experience with: automation tools (i.e. Flow Builder, Process Builder, Apex Triggers, or UI Path)
3. One (1) year experience with JavaScript; version control tools (i.e. ChangeManager, ServiceDeskNow, or Git)
4. One (1) year experience with Agile tools (i.e. Jira or ADO)
5. Salesforce Platform App Builder or Salesforce Platform Developer 1 certification
6. One (1) year SQL experience
