Twist Bioscience is a fast growing startup developing a disruptive synthetic DNA technology that is changing the world by enabling widespread healthcare and sustainability.

Synthetic biologists use our products to engineer organisms that produce medicine, create everyday chemicals using the atmosphere as a carbon source, breed plants that make their own fertilizers and develop in-vivo diagnostics that alert us when we are sick. And we’re just getting started.

We are expanding our team and looking for a local Salesforce Engineer with a background in web development and cloud computing that is able to learn fast, work independently and is a creative out-of-the-box thinker when it comes to integrating Salesforce to Websites, Punchouts, APIs and ERP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Implementing technical solutions using industry best practices
2. Responsible for ensuring the right level of non-functional needs such as quality, scalability, performance, flexibility, modularity, maintainability etc.
3. Perform gap analysis, develop prototypes for new foundational product capabilities.
4. Identify risks to the initiatives
5. Lead the technical team from inception to delivery and post production support.
6. Develop Lightning Web components to provide better and more interactive experiences for end-users
7. Design and develop integrations between Salesforce.com (SFDC) and other third-party applications and systems
8. Configure new and enhanced functionality in the Salesforce platform using declarative and programmatic solutions
9. Prepare technical specifications and detailed design documents

Education and Experience Requirements

1. Experience in Biotechnology Industry
2. Hands-on in common languages like Python and Java
3. Exposure to Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud development, configurations, objects, components and data management
4. Exposure to developing Lightning web components, Aura components, Apex classes, triggers, Force.com IDE and SOQL/SOSL
5. Exposure to design, development & data structures
6. Experience with BitBucket or GitHub
7. Hands-on experience with agile software like JIRA
8. Strong communication skills (written/verbal) to interact with team members including Business Analysts, Quality Assurance Engineers, IT Management
9. Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
10. Adaptable and flexible with the ability to work well under pressure and in challenging situations

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

1. Certification in Salesforce Platform
2. Technical abilities to resolve bugs and take up complex improvements
3. Experience with SFDX based or metadata API CI/CD automation using Jenkins or any other platform

The base cash compensation for this California-based role is below. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for bonus, equity, and a generous benefits package.
