Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

As part of the global Operations & Technology organization, the Data & Analytics group (D&A) is focused on the data strategies for the future, covering the entire analytics life cycle – data engineering, data architecture, data platforms, data analysis, data viz, and data science. We support NBCU’s vast portfolio of brands – from broadcast, cable, news, and sports networks to film studios, world-renowned theme parks, and a diverse suite of digital properties. We take pride in providing NBCUniversal with data to advise and shape strategic business decisions. As a Staff Software Engineer on this team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering complex cloud-based solutions using technologies such as Salesforce.com and AWS.

1. Responsible for engineering, designing, implementing and testing Salesforce solutions - including writing specifications, design/layout, coding, agile team principles and leadership
2. Elegantly bring designs to life using standards-compliant dynamic HTML, CSS, and our internal Javascript MVC framework (Lightning, similar to Angular, React, etc.)
3. Champion best practices and guide and influence team on leveraging such practices.
4. Leading a team of~10CRM Engineers, both onsite and offshore
5. Ensuring that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business, ensuring that proper testing is implemented, and performance and security requirements are closely monitored by working with the project teams.
6. Partnership with Architects, Product Management and Technical Product Management in understanding business needs, technical objectives and design considerations
7. Communicate status, risks to schedules, and offer mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery of all committed projects across the delivery teams
8. Partnership with Architect, SFDC Architect and Engineering Peers to implement SFDC within a larger unified ecosystem vision

Qualifications

1. 8+ years proven track record with end-to-end implementations with the SFDC platform (especially Sales Cloud)
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent years of experience
3. Ability to contribute within design sessions and communicate design options to technical and non-technical audiences
4. Experience with development technologies such as Apex/VF, Lightning Web Components, Aura framework, JavaScript, jQuery/Angular/React.
5. Integration experience using API technologies (Soap, Rest) and Integration/Middleware tools such as Kafka, Informatica, Tibco, etc.
6. Experience in implementing Integration Patterns recommended by Salesforce using appropriate technology.
7. Experience with SOQL
8. Experience with Test-Driven Development
9. Experience with front-end web UI debugging (Chrome dev console)
10. Understanding of Release Management, Source Control, CI/CD and Deployment concepts and technologies such as Github, Jenkins, SFDC Metadata API, etc.
11. Knowledge of options and how to handle security requirements such as single sign-on and data security

2. Experience with Business Intelligence (TableauCRM, Datorama, MicroStrategy, Data Cloud)
3. Experience in Advertising Sales, Media and Entertainment
4. Salesforce Certifications: "Advanced Administrator," "Application Architect," "System Architect," "JavaScript Developer I," "Platform Developer II," or equivalent
