Salesforce Developer


The Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support evolving business requirements. This role contributes to application development, integration, documentation, and release management, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting the Salesforce Administrator as needed.


Primary Responsibilities

  1. Develop Apex classes and triggers, Lightning Components, and Visualforce pages to extend Salesforce functionality.
  2. Build and maintain Visualforce pages, Lightning pages, and Lightning Web Components.
  3. Support release cycles by implementing and deploying updates to existing applications and code.
  4. Integrate Salesforce with third-party applications such as DocuSign, Conga, and Survey Gizmo.
  5. Perform unit and system testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
  6. Follow coding best practices and maintain high standards for data quality.
  7. Contribute to technical documentation and solution design records.
  8. Provide occasional support to the Salesforce Administrator.


Qualifications and Background

  1. 1--3 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience required.
  2. Salesforce product knowledge essential.
  3. Certified Salesforce Developer I preferred.
  4. Additional certifications such as Salesforce Administrator or Certified JavaScript Developer are a plus.
  5. Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS, or Computer Science preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Experience developing in Apex, Visualforce, and JavaScript.
  2. Proactive approach to Salesforce enhancements and solution development.
  3. Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into scalable solutions.
  4. Strong technical documentation skills.
  5. Competency in HTML, XML, Flex, ASP, SQL, Java or C++.
  6. Experience with REST and SOAP-based web services.
  7. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  8. Contributions to open-source or personal development projects are valued.
  9. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  10. Active participation in the Salesforce community is a plus.
