Recruiter Help Guide

Everything you need to know about posting jobs and connecting with Salesforce talent on sForceJobs.

1. Getting Started

To post jobs on sForceJobs, you need a free account with the Poster profile type.

  1. Create an account at sForceJobs and verify your email address.
  2. During profile setup, select "Poster" as your profile type (employer/recruiter).
  3. Complete your company details on your profile page.
  4. You're ready to post your first job.

2. Posting a Job

From your dashboard, click "Post a Job" to open the job posting form.

Company Information

  • Company Name — displayed publicly on the listing.
  • Company Type — ISV, Consultancy, End User, etc.
  • Company URL — link to your company website.
  • Company Email — not displayed publicly, used for internal communication only.

Location

  • City & State — select the primary office location.
  • Multiple Locations — check the "Multiple locations" box to enter free-text locations (e.g. "New York, NY / Austin, TX / Remote"). When checked, the city and state fields are disabled and your custom text is displayed instead.
  • Country — required regardless of single or multiple location mode.
  • Work Location — choose Remote, Hybrid, or In-Office. If set to Remote, the city/state won't display on the listing.

Job Details

  • Job Title — keep it clear and specific (e.g. "Senior Salesforce Developer").
  • Position Type — Full-time, Contract, Part-time, etc.
  • Position Focus — the Salesforce specialty area.
  • Salary Range — optional but recommended. Jobs with salary info get more engagement.
  • Job URL — optional link to an external application page or ATS.
  • Job Description — use the rich text editor to format responsibilities, requirements, and benefits.
  • Short Description — a brief summary shown in job listing cards.

Optional Add-ons

  • Spotlight — feature your job on the sForceJobs home page for increased visibility.
  • Recruiter Pro (Access Candidates) — add the messaging subscription to browse and message candidates. More details in the Recruiter Pro section below.

3. Payment & Checkout

After completing the job form and clicking "Next", you'll be taken to the checkout page.

  • Review your job details and any add-ons (Spotlight, Recruiter Pro).
  • The job post is a one-time payment.
  • Recruiter Pro is a monthly subscription that can be cancelled anytime.
  • Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
  • Once payment is confirmed, your job post enters a brief review queue before going live.

4. Managing Your Job Posts

Access all your job posts from the Recruiter Dashboard (available from your main dashboard).

  • Edit — update any details on an active or pending job post.
  • Cancel — deactivate a job post when the position has been filled.
  • View Applications — see candidates who have applied to your listings.

5. Recruiter Pro

Recruiter Pro is a monthly subscription that unlocks the full candidate browsing and messaging experience. It can be added during checkout when posting a job, or subscribed to separately from your dashboard.

What's included

  • Access to the full Candidates directory with advanced filters.
  • View detailed candidate profiles including experience, certifications, and job preferences.
  • Send private messages to candidates to start conversations.
  • Invite candidates to apply directly to your open job posts.
  • Save candidates for quick access later.
  • Unlimited messaging with no per-message fees.

You can subscribe or manage your Recruiter Pro subscription from Dashboard → Billing. Cancel anytime — you'll retain access until the end of your billing period.

6. Browsing Candidates

The Candidates page (requires Recruiter Pro) shows Salesforce professionals who have opted in to be discovered by employers.

Filtering Candidates

Use the filter bar at the top to narrow down the list:

  • Search — search by name, professional title, summary, or city.
  • Role Seeking — filter by the role type the candidate is looking for (Administrator, Developer, Architect, Consultant, Marketer, Project Manager, Program Manager).
  • Location — filter by state/province.
  • Years of Experience — filter by experience brackets (0–2, 3–5, 6–10, 10+).

Filters apply instantly — no page reload needed. Use the "Clear filters" link to reset.

Candidate Cards

Each candidate card shows:

  • Profile photo, name, and LinkedIn link (if available).
  • Years of experience and location.
  • Role seeking (color-coded badge).
  • Quick actions: Details (full profile), Message, and Invite to Apply.

Saving Candidates

Click the save option on a candidate's detail page to add them to your Saved Candidates section. Saved candidates appear at the top of the Candidates page for quick access. You can unsave them at any time.

7. Messaging

Recruiter Pro includes a built-in messaging system to communicate privately with candidates.

How it works

  • Only you can initiate a conversation — candidates cannot cold-message employers.
  • Start a conversation from a candidate's card or detail page by clicking "Start Conversation".
  • Once a conversation is started, both parties can send messages.
  • You can end a conversation at any time if it's no longer needed.

Messages Page

Access all your conversations from Messages in the navigation. You'll see:

  • A list of all your active conversations.
  • Unread message indicators on candidate cards and in your message list.
  • Full conversation history with each candidate.

Email Notifications

When a candidate replies to your message, you'll receive an email notification so you never miss a response.

8. Inviting Candidates to Apply

Found a great fit? Invite them to apply to one of your active job posts directly from their candidate card.

  1. Click "Invite to Apply" on a candidate card.
  2. A dropdown shows your active job posts.
  3. Select the job you'd like to invite them to.
  4. The candidate receives a notification about your invitation.

Once you've invited a candidate to all your active posts, the button will show "Already Invited" and be disabled for that candidate. Each job post can only have one invite per candidate.

9. Billing & Subscription

Manage your billing and subscription from Dashboard → Billing.

  • Job Posts are a one-time payment per listing.
  • Recruiter Pro is a monthly subscription billed through Stripe.
  • You can cancel your Recruiter Pro subscription anytime. After cancelling, you retain access until the end of your current billing period (shown on the billing page).
  • If your subscription has been cancelled and you're in a grace period, you'll see a notice indicating when access expires.
  • To resubscribe, visit the billing page or add Recruiter Pro when posting a new job.

10. FAQ

How long does it take for my job post to go live?

Job posts go through a brief review after payment. Most posts are approved and live within a few hours.

Can I edit my job post after it's live?

Yes. Go to your Recruiter Dashboard, find the job, and click Edit. Changes take effect immediately.

Do I need Recruiter Pro to post a job?

No. Recruiter Pro is optional. You can post jobs without it. Recruiter Pro adds the ability to browse candidates, send messages, and invite candidates to apply.

Can candidates message me without Recruiter Pro?

No. Only employers with Recruiter Pro can initiate conversations. Candidates cannot cold-message employers.

What happens to my conversations if I cancel Recruiter Pro?

Your conversations are preserved but you won't be able to access them or send new messages until you resubscribe. You'll retain access through the end of your billing period after cancelling.

How do I know if a candidate has read my message?

The messaging system tracks unread messages. You'll see unread counts on candidate cards and in your message list when a candidate hasn't viewed your message yet.

Can I use Recruiter Pro without posting a job?

Yes. You can subscribe to Recruiter Pro separately from your dashboard or billing page to browse candidates and send messages without an active job post.
